As a Christian in the great
As Christian mothers (and fathers too, but since I don’t blog for the fathers, this is addressed to the mothers *smile*), it is our duty to raise children who love and honor the Lord. It should be our #1 goal to produce godly offspring who have been trained in the ways of our Lord. We should make it our priority to raise children who fear the Lord more than we do, who love the Lord more than we do, who have more of a heart for serving the Lord than we do, and who are more obedient to the Lord than we are. We should also teach our children to have this same goal for their own families.
If we make this a priority, then just think of what an awesome difference could be made in the name of Christ by our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I have often heard the phrase, “If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time!” Ahhh, so true! So, as Christians, we should make high goals for ourselves and for your children. It is time to stop “wasting” our arrows and sharpen them for the Lord. We need to grow in the Lord and teach our children how to do the same. It takes more than just telling them – they need to see our faith LIVED OUT.
This crisis in our country doesn’t have to continue. We can open our eyes to it and we can repent and change our course. We must redeem our time and make every moment profitable for Christ. We must be diligent and stay focused on the Lord and we must train our children to do the same.
